Earth Day

Today is earth day, (yesterday actually since it’s past midnight )but now that the volcano has finally quieted down (at least for the present)  I figured i can turn my attention to something else. So I thought I celebrate the good things on our planet, like the sunshine. And that requires that we notice the sun. Just so happens that NASA has a probe headed straight towards the sun, so we can see our nearest star in all her glory. This particular photo captures the ultraviolet radiation (that’s the stuff that causes sunburn) that comes flying out of the sun and headed our way. Thanks to NASA for this picture and the one below.

One good thing about this organization is that they have helped us see ourselves from another viewpoint and maybe even with a planetary vision. Let’s hope so. We might need it.
