Whirled Images

Here is a whirled image made from a regular photograph. The process is simple. All you need is  a Photoshop program; nothing fancy, for Photoshop Elements works fine.  Basically, you open the the “Filters” heading, and then select “Distort”. Then open up the drop down menu and choose “Twirl”. Now move the slider bar to to the right or left to produce a clockwise or counterclockwise twirl. All you need to to do is finish up with a texture or an artistic effect and your image is done, though you might want to convert to j-pegs, if you haven’t all ready. Not bad huh. Here’s one more done from a red photo.

I like the way the twirl develops a depth and three dimensional effect.

Just for shits and giggles, here are some green stairs that are twirled and twisted.
