April Fools In New England

The Charles River Covered With Ice

The Charles River Covered With Ice

Mother Nature played an April Fools joke on the Northeast today. However, the winter weather and abundant snow accumulation made me wish I was still living up north and not hunkered down in coastal Carolina. I know there’re probably a million people in the Boston area, who would love to change places, but I just have to admit I love those spring skiing days in the White or Green Mountains, when the daytime temperatures break freezing, yet the slopes are still covered with fresh powder. In fact, if I had a teleporter, I would beam myself up to Wildcat Mt in New Hampshire, Jay Peak in Vermont or Sunday River in Maine. What a great way to spend the holidays, as many of the resorts offer free skiing on the first day of April. No kidding.
