“Only a mediocre writer is always at his best.”
~Somerset Maugham

The Writing Game

This quote from the English writer dishes out a good bit of hard-earned reality. Another way of putting it, is that some days are bound to be others. And those special times, when everything just seems to fall right in place are far and few between. Perhaps, the best way to overcome the literary doldrums is to keep writing. It will keep writer’s block away and increase your chances of putting something down on paper that is worth savoring. But don’t forget about rewriting revision.
